It blends the expected violence with pathos, romance, and even comedy. Considering Rebecca had been secretly helping with Autumn's plan, it's likely that she will now take Amy away from the Abbotts and start telling her the secrets of the time travel. This tale of the Old West works on many fronts. Either way, Rebecca is now finally reunited with present-day Amy. It is also still a mystery whether Autumn first contacted her mother or if it was Rebecca who placed her daughter on that mission. However, it is still not clear if she had been hidden close to the Abbotts this whole time or if Rebecca herself had also time-traveled at some point. ![]() It's Rebecca who was Autumn's secret benefactor, and it can be assumed that, at least during the time Autumn was in town, Rebecca was also nearby. It turns out that Rebecca was very much alive, and the Outer Range season finale showed that she was working along with Autumn – the future version of her daughter. However, it was not until Autumn started mentioning Rebecca that it became clear that Amy's mother's disappearance was somehow connected to the mystery of the Void and the time travel. One of the biggest mysteries of Outer Range since the beginning of the series was what had happened to Rebecca, Perry's wife. Royal now knows that Autumn is his granddaughter and has taken her back home to heal her injuries. She also learned the truth about Josh Brolin's character being a time-traveler at some point and eventually went back in time to interfere with how her grandfather was, in a way, protecting the Void from outside influences. However, unlike Royal, she actually became obsessed with the concept of time and started to almost worship the Void. The definitive proof that Autumne was Amy from the future was the scar on her forehead, the exact same scar Amy had gotten at the end of Outer Range episode 6.Īt some point, Amy learned about the Void's history and its ability to time travel. The way Autumn addressed Royal as if she'd known him for a long time also supported that theory. Several elements already suggested that this was the case, such as the resemblance in how they look and Autumn's interest in the Abbott family and in Perry. Confirming one of the biggest Outer Range theories, Autumn was revealed to be Amy from the future. ![]()
